The LAUNCH CRB3001, a 2-in-1 vehicle diagnostic tool , is not only a battery tester that can do battery tests (including battery health test, start system test, and charging health test) to provide a quick and accurate test result for most types of 12V batteries, but also perform OBD diagnostics to read/clear DTCs and read data stream.
LAUNCH Creader Battery 3001 Support Full OBD2 Functions
With full OBD2 functions, including reading/clearing codes, live data stream/freeze frame , I/M Readiness,O2 Sensor Test,On-Board Monitor Test ,EVAP Test and read Vehicle Information. The LAUNCH CRB3001 can work well with all 1996 and newer 12V gasoline and diesel that are OBD II compliant.
1. Read Codes: Show the detailed description of the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
2. Clear Codes & Reset:Turns off Check Engine Light (MIL), clears codes and resets monitor.
3. Data Stream:Reads and displays live ECU/PCM data stream, plotting functions graphically and stores freeze frame data.
4. I/M Readiness Status: Shows whether the various emissions-related systems on the vehicle are operating properly and are ready for inspection and maintenance testing.
5. Read Live Data Stream:Show the information of continuous data stream from a vehicle in live graphic (waveform) display.
6. View Freeze Frame Data: Check the certain vehicle conditions which are recorded by the on-board computer at the time the emission-related fault occurs.
7. O2 Sensor Test:Allows retrieval and viewing of O2 sensor monitor test results for the most recently performed tests from the vehicle's on-board computer.
8. On-Board Monitor Test: Retrieves and displays test results for emission-related Powertrain components and systems.
9. Read Vehicle Information: Display the information such as VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), CID (Calibration ID) and CVN (Calibration verification number), etc.
10. Component Test: Certain vehicle components can be actuated by commands sent from the scanner to test their operability.

Widely Used Battery Tester

3 Battery Test Modes
1. Battery Health Test is mainly to analyze,calculate the health status of the battery and judge the aging degree of the battery ( Displays 5 test results, and tells you whether you should replace or charge the battery)
2. Start System Test is mainly to detect and analyze the starting motor, detect the actual starting
current and starting voltage required by the starting motor
3. Charging Health Test is to check and analyze the charging system, including generators, rectifiers, rectifier diodes, etc.
5 Battery Test Results(Battery Health Test)
1. Good battery - Indicates that the battery is normal.
2. Replace battery - Indicates that the battery is aged or becomes rejected, or the battery life cycle is nearly exhausted. In this case, battery voltage appears to be normal, but the battery itself is not well, i.e. battery polarity board has been completely vulcanized or aged. Please replace the battery immediately.
3. Good-recharge - Stands for low battery. The battery is good itself.
4. Charge-retest - It is better for a few batteries to be fully charged before testing in order to avoid judging in error under special conditions.
5. Bad cell - Indicates one of the battery cells is bad and cannot work normally, but for which one is bad, it can’t be verified. In this case, battery voltage is generally lower than 11V, mainly resulting from internal circuitry damage, such as short circuits, open circuits, dummy welds, etc.
Lifetime Free Update & Print
It provides lifetime FREE software updated by connecting to a PC through a USB cable to keep the latest software version. Moreover, it has the ability to print the diagnostic records through a connection to a PC.
